Who Says??

That you can't scrap a pink page for a boy. Running with the pink theme for Valentines Day I created this page the other day about Love.
Actually, it didn't even cross my mind until I had finished that it was pink, I just went with the flow of what felt right.
Love this little charm.
I hope you have a fantastic, loving Valentines Day tomorrow. My family of boys have been busy crafting at my table tonight under the guidance of Dad...........can't wait to see what I get tomorrow.

Art.

I created this little frame for display at work. I bought the frame on a shopping trip for only $10 because it had no glass. Perfect for some altered art.

I found the quote somewhere on-line and it kind of spoke to me.
And I found this gorgeous coloured crepe paper streamer at one of the cheap shops on that same shopping expedition. Bargain price - $1.00 for a huge roll. I just had to use it straight away. And that yummy striped ribbon from the shop and of course, the Prima flowers. Gorgeous!
Have a happy week.

Valentines Day.......coming soon!

I always let Valentines Day kind of slide by with only the minimum of effort to let the ones I love know about it. Somehow, I think that's not quite right. So this year I have decided to put some effort into it and cause a fuss.

Here are the samples for the Valentines Bag, Tag & Card class I am teaching up at Pages 2 Scrap (details here). Love, love, love this Pink Paislee Cupid Collection.
I have more of this range in my stash and intend to get busy on some 'heart lovin' this week. I will keep you posted.

Inks

I really enjoy playing with alcohol inks. The unexpected results always make me smile, it is not a medium to plan but to experiment with.

After doing a number of classes up at Pages 2 Scrap I mentioned below that I will be doing another one this Friday night. It will be the last one for a while. So if you have been thinking about coming to learn how to use alcohol inks, then make sure you book into this one.

Here is a little wall plaque I created with alcohol inks.
I created the marbled background and used the inks to colours bits of the white lace. The metal embellishment has also been coloured with ink. I love how it will colour metal.

So details if you want to come along can be found here. Would love to see you there.
