Getting Started on Christmas

It is time to get started on your Christmas cards so that you have a stash big enough to send to everyone.  I started with this class I taught recently at Catchy Crafts.

I used one of my favourite sets of Nestabilities - 2010 Heirloom Ornament

Added some rosettes with the Tim Holtz die.

Have you started your Christmas Cards yet?

11th Anniversary of September 11

(image from ussatf.org)

Hard to believe that 11 years have gone by since I sat and watched the terrible act of terrorism that took place against these buildings and it's occupants from my lounge room here in Australia.  And two years ago I got to visit the site of this destruction.  What a surreal experience that was.  To stand opposite the site of the twin towers site, on the streets where I saw images on my television of people racing from the terror.  It was quite emotional.

And we will visit again next week to see what they have erected in their place.  In memory of the 2823 people who lost their lives on this day 11 years ago.  I am sure it will be emotional again.

Sweet Baby Girl

A work colleague of my husbands had a baby recently and I got to create a sweet baby girl card for him to give them.  I love working with pinks, who would've thought!?!?!?  LOL

Made with a sweet Unity stamp and Graphic 45 papers.

Thanks for stopping by.

Card Share - Retreat Class

Thought I would drop in and show you the cards we created in one of the Retreat classes last month.  I LoVe Graphic 45 and these cards were fun to make with the Ladies Diary Collection.

It is such a pretty range.
Have a great day!

Happy Fathers Day

Wow, a whole month since I logged in here.  Life has been incredibly busy in August and it doesn't feel like I have sat still AT ALL.  We held our third Scrap Alley Retreat this month and it was a ton of fun.  That kept me very busy and then with Fathers Day I have been helping with the Fundraising at school and organising 400 odd gifts for the children to purchase and give to their Daddies today.

So yesterday (nothing like the last minute) I got busy making cards so that I could give one to my hubby today for being a fantastic father to my children.  It was so nice to sit down and just play with some inks and stamps.  Here it is:

And then this one if for my Father-in-law.

I made this one for a market I attended last weekend.

Thanks for dropping by and I promise to add some more stuff to peruse here asap.
Cheers
